Welcome back to a new school year! We're excited to begin another fantastic year of learning and growth. We hope you all had a wonderful summer break and feel refreshed for the term ahead.The children are already settling beautifully into their new classes and routines. A special well done to our Early Years superstars, who have made a fantastic start and adapted with confidence and smiles (a few anticipated tears however mainly from parents). As always, if you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to reach out. We're here to support you every step of the way. Happy new school year!

It's the day to say goodbye to our year 6s! We can't believe the time has come to turn the next page of your life's story! Thank you to all of our pupils and their families for a brilliant 7 years together and an awesome celebration this morning of who our children have grown up to become! Everybody here wishes you all so much love and success as you embark on life's next chapter! Always remember, that we are your biggest cheerleaders and you'll forever be a member of our Feniscowles family!

Understanding the concept of money! In Owls we have been looking at money. This included 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p and £1. Each child created an item they wanted to sell in our One Stop Shop, a price tag and a name label. Each child picked a name out of a bag for whose item they were going to buy. Together we role played being a shop keeper, looking at the price of each item, how much money they had and what change they would receive. The children enjoyed learning and taking on this topic! Understanding the concept of money is an important skill as we go through life! Owls! It was a pleasure doing business with you!

What. A. Weekend! We laughed; we pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones; we played; we cleaned; we bonded and - most importantly - we ended the year on a high! Thanks to all of the awesome staff at Bendrigg for a great experience for each and every one of our children! Thanks also to all of our school staff who volunteered to help over this weekend!

As our time in Early Years comes to a close, we've been soaking in every giggle, every cuddle, and every final moment together. From first friendships to magical memories, this year has been one we'll never forget To our little Feniscowles learners: you have grown in confidence, curiosity, and kindness. We have watched you shine and now, as you take your next steps into KS1, we just know you're ready for all that awaits. (Us, though? We're not quite ready to say goodbye just yet ) Thank you, parents, for your trust and support in this incredibly important first year of school. It's been a joy, a privilege, and honestly... a bit of a tearjerker One more day to hold hands, sing songs, and celebrate all that we've shared. #feniscowlesprimary #eyfs

At the end of every full term, we always come together as a whole school. We have a playful sing-off with Mr Halliwell (the legend that is our school site supervisor) as judge. The key stage leader that loses the sing off has to wear a dunces hat! For the end of the year though, we had a sneaky plan to stitch-up Mr Andrew and make sure HE was the one who ended up wearing the hat! We had the most wholesome, fun morning singing our hearts out!
