Our School
Feniscowles Primary School is a thriving school with a strong reputation. It has been my privilege to be headteacher since September 2020.
All schools have their own distinctive culture and ethos, which makes each one unique. We believe that our distinctive culture is rooted in a shared understanding of 'The Feniscowles Way'.

Year 5–6 Sportshall Athletics Success! Huge congratulations to our Year 5–6 Sportshall Athletics team, who put in a fantastic performance at the qualifier held at Pleckgate High School last night! Our talented squad of 18 pupils impressed throughout, showing speed, teamwork and determination in a round packed with very strong opposition. Their brilliant effort paid off as they finished overall winners of the event! The team now progresses to the final at Darwen Vale next Thursday, and we can't wait to see them shine again. Well done to every single member of the team - an amazing display from start to finish. We're all incredibly proud!
Ashley is back teaching Street Dance with our lovely Year 3 children She showed them some amazing moves, and they worked together to put a series of steps into a short dance sequence. Ashley was so impressed with their enthusiasm and brilliant attitude to having a go. Well done, Year 3!
Huge congratulations to our Year 5/6 Girls' Football team who represented the school last Friday with true determination and skill at the Lancashire Girls Football Finals at Fleetwood Town's training ground! After qualifying out of a very strong group, the girls won their Quarter Final 2-1, narrowly missed out in the Semi Final 1-0, and then fought back to secure 3rd place with a 2-1 Golden Goal in extra time! The effort, teamwork and sportsmanship shown by every player was incredible - you've made us all so proud!
An amazing first aid experience for our pupils! We were delighted to welcome Andrea from Mini First Aid Lancashire into school to deliver first aid assemblies across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, as well as hands-on Year 3 first aid workshops and they were absolutely fantastic! The sessions were highly engaging, informative, and perfectly tailored to our children. Both pupils and staff gave extremely positive feedback, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the sessions and gaining valuable, confidence-building life skills Andrea delivered the content in such a fun, calm, and professional way, keeping the children fully engaged throughout. We would highly recommend Mini First Aid Lancashire for schools looking to teach essential first aid skills in an engaging and memorable way A huge thanks to Miss Deane and Mrs Mullally for organising this brilliant opportunity.
Happy New Year Year 2 certainly kicked off the new year right! Today we went on a wonderful winter walk. We used a map and had to search for clues to help us predict what our new English text could be about. The children came up with some very imaginative ideas such as a habitat for a magical fairy, a troll lurking in the bog or maybe even a witch casting a spell! We can't wait to see what super writing the children produce. #ks1 #writing

What a magical start to the morning, welcoming Father Christmas into the Infants! The children were so excited to see him and his elves. A huge thank you to Keystage Supply for lending us the amazing grotto, and to our very own Father Christmas and his little elves for making the magic happen!
A huge thank-you to all of of families who came to join us for the Nativity performances this week! It was lovely to welcome so many of you into school for this very special (and very cute) festive event! A thank you also goes to our stage director Mrs Morgan and all of our year 1 and 2 staff for all of the hard work that goes in to a production like this. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.
