Feniscowles Primary School is a thriving school with a strong reputation. It has been my privilege to be headteacher since September 2020.
All schools have their own distinctive culture and ethos, which makes each one unique. We believe that our distinctive culture is rooted in a shared understanding of 'The Feniscowles Way'.

Miss Deane, Mrs Mullally and all the staff would like to say a huge thank you for your incredible support on Friday in recognition of World Mental Health Day. We had a fantastic day filled with both learning and fun, all while raising money for a truly important cause. The children looked wonderful in their yellow accessories, helping to spread such a positive and uplifting message throughout the day. Thank you so much for your generous cake donations. The cakes looked amazing, and the homemade ones were delicious! We're proud to share that we raised a total of £473. The money will be split between a donation to the Young Minds charity and funding for resources and special events that support children's mental health and well-being in school. More details will follow soon. We couldn't be prouder of our school community. Thank you again for making it such a successful day!

Today we opened The Nook, our new space for construction and outdoor play. It was a joy to see the children problem solving, working as a team and being creative! We can't wait to see what ideas they come up with in the coming weeks!

In Art, Year 1 have been exploring spirals and experimenting with different media to create their very own spiral masterpieces. The creativity and focus has been amazing and we are so proud of our impressive artists. #Year1 #primaryschoolart
What a fantastic afternoon we've had in Year 2! We visited Rosebay Wood to create our very own nature-inspired art, taking inspiration from the work of artist Andy Goldsworthy. Just like him, we used natural objects such as leaves, twigs, stones, and leaves to form our artwork. Working in groups of four, we followed our school values of respect and inclusion, collaborating thoughtfully and making sure everyone's ideas were heard and valued. The children showed great teamwork and creativity, and the results were truly beautiful!
