Year 2 will be writing explanation texts all about how a crazy invention (of their own) works! Today, we designed our incredible contraptions and then used AI to bring them to life! We had to add lots of detail to our labels and to our invention description to make sure that AI created an accurate image. A beautiful, joy-filled morning in Maggie's Den - our special garden space created in memory of the brightest star in the sky. We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating what would've been Maggie's 10th birthday with some of our lovely Year 5 and Early Years children, alongside her incredible mummy Sarah and wonderful Auntie Lizzie. Thanks to Sarah's amazing charity Maggie's Stillbirth Legacy, which helped towards bringing this magical space to life, we spent the morning singing, dancing, planting, and giggling under the sunshine, just as Maggie would have loved. A morning full of love, light, and laughter.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTA and everyone who joined us for the Circus Fundraiser last weekend, what a fantastic day! Thanks to your support, we raised an incredible £1,833 Every penny will go towards new playtime provision for our children. Our PTA Circus Event - full of fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories! A massive THANK YOU to everyone who bought tickets and to @circussensible for helping us to create such a fabulous day! YEAR 1 TRIP On Wednesday, Year 1 visited Corporation Park for their school trip, as part of their History unit on the park's heritage. They explored original features that date back to its opening in 1857, when it was created as a peaceful retreat for mill workers to enjoy fresh air and beautiful scenery on their day off. They also had fun singing by the bandstand and embraced their love of nature with a cheerful tree hug. An amazing day all round.

Our very favourite time of week at Feniscowles: celebrating our wonderful children and the great things they've done. We always have two awards: The Achievement Award- celebrating work completed in class across our different subjects. The Feniscowles Child Award - celebrating individual personality and showing our school values of endeavour, respect, integrity, inclusion, forgiveness and safety.
