Welcome to
Our School
Feniscowles Primary School is a thriving school with a strong reputation. It has been my privilege to be headteacher since September 2020.
All schools have their own distinctive culture and ethos, which makes each one unique. We believe that our distinctive culture is rooted in a shared understanding of 'The Feniscowles Way'.

Chess Club Update A huge well done to Zach, Harrison, and Jacob who represented our school in the Inter-Schools Chess Tournament Semi-Final on Friday! The games were intense, the concentration was incredible, and the resilience these boys showed was truly admirable. Though we didn't make it to the final, the experience was fantastic and we couldn't be prouder of how brilliantly they represented us. A special thank you to Mr Smallridge from The Redeemer for organising such a great event and to all the children who took part - it was a brilliant day of competition and sportsmanship. Well done, boys - you did us proud!
We were delighted to welcome HSBC to our school for a series of exciting and educational workshops focused on sensible money management. Year groups 1 -6 took part, learning valuable life skills such as understanding the difference between wants and needs, the importance of saving, and how to create a simple budget. These engaging sessions helped our pupils gain a better understanding of how to make sensible financial choices now and in the future. A big thank you to HSBC for supporting our children at Feniscowles on their journey to becoming money-wise!
The Big Top Circus is in town! Saturday 28th June. Follow the link in our captions to book your tickets today - stalls, food, games and raffles will also be available on the day. Ps- We can confirm that Mrs Henry and Miss Evenson are sadly NOT the main act on the day!
EYFS Beach Day Magic! What an unforgettable day we had on our school trip to the beach! From the moment we set off, it was non-stop fun! We laughed, danced, sang, built sandcastles, and played the day away. The children's behaviour was truly impeccable, making us so proud every step of the way. 60 smiling (and now sleepy!) children and 12 very tired but happy adults, a perfect recipe for memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to everyone who made it such a special day!
Another fantastic Stay & Play! This time, the children came along without their grown-ups and they were all so brave! We had such a fun and exciting morning. A quick reminder for parents: Our Early Years Curriculum Meeting will take place at 6:00pm on Monday, 23rd June, for families of children starting at Feniscowles this September. You're welcome to join us in the Infant Hall from 5:30pm, where you'll be able to: Sign up for home visits Enjoy a tasting session from Dolce, our school dinner provider We look forward to seeing you there!
Year 1 have truly spread their creative wings! As part of their Making Birds art project, our talented young artists observed birds closely, capturing every detail in their drawings before transforming their ideas into stunning 3D sculptures. The results? Absolutely fabulous! Amazing work, Year 1 - your creativity has taken flight!
We really enjoyed hosting The Olive School today for our final debate match of the Season! It was esepcailly nice to be in our brand new building too! Both teams debated brilliantly and the "points of information" were especially strong. We won one and lost one of the matches! A HUGE thank-you to this years' team (and their grown-ups at home) for all of the hard work and preparation! It has been beautiful watching the children grown from strength-to-strength this year! I'm busting with pride at what they have achieved and we're excited for next year too!
Wow! Our amazing Made for Stage group absolutely blew the roof off at the SIG 2 Music Event yesterday! Their energy, talent and hard work shone through every second of their performance. We're proud of each and every one of them! A huge thank you to Simon @madeforstageuk for his incredible dedication and the countless hours he's poured into helping our children shine!
