Welcome to
Our School
Feniscowles Primary School is a thriving school with a strong reputation. It has been my privilege to be headteacher since September 2020.
All schools have their own distinctive culture and ethos, which makes each one unique. We believe that our distinctive culture is rooted in a shared understanding of 'The Feniscowles Way'.

We are incredibly proud to share that our wonderful Amelia has successfully achieved a scholarship to Westholme School, where she will be continuing her journey in September. Amelia has truly shone during her time at Feniscowles Primary, particularly in the performing arts. Her confidence, creativity and commitment have made her stand out, and she has embraced every opportunity to perform with enthusiasm and joy. Amelia, you are a fantastic role model and a real star of our school. We have loved watching you grow and develop, and we know that you will continue to fly as you take this exciting next step.
Happy St George's Day! This week, we've enjoyed learning all about St George's Day in our assemblies. We explored the famous story of St George and the dragon, discussing what the legend represents and the values of bravery, courage, and helping others. We also talked about how the day is celebrated across England and why it is an important part of our history and culture.

Year 5 visited Helmshore Textile Museum today, where they explored the history of the textile industry. They learned about how cotton was processed and what life was like for the workers during the Industrial Revolution. The visit brought classroom learning to life and gave children a deeper understanding of our local heritage.
A big thank you to our PCSOs for coming into to school to lead assemblies and workshops for our year 6 children. As we head towards lighter nights and more playing out time in the summer, we wanted to talk to the children about keeping themselves and others safe. We talked about identifying and preventing risks. Our KS1 children leant more about how the police help us in emergencies too. This is all part of our wider, personal development offer for our children. #extracurricular
The children at Pitstop had great fun building dens! There was lots of creativity and teamwork on display using natural materials along with a friendly bit of competition over who could build the best one. They took on fun challenges that helped develop confidence, teamwork and problem solving skills. A brilliant evening full of imagination and laughter! #TeamPitstop
