Our School
Feniscowles Primary School is a thriving school with a strong reputation. It has been my privilege to be headteacher since September 2020.
All schools have their own distinctive culture and ethos, which makes each one unique. We believe that our distinctive culture is rooted in a shared understanding of 'The Feniscowles Way'.

Year 1 have absolutely loved working with Simon from @madeforstageuk . It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow week by week. On Wednesday, the children had the opportunity to perform in front of their parents and they did an amazing job! There were proud smiles all around.
Our debate team have competed in 4 matches over the last 2 weeks and we could not be more proud of thier hard work; preparation, commitment and confidence! It truly is a joy to see our members taking part in public speaking opportunities! Out of our four matches, we've won two and lost two so far! Well done to each and every member for pushing yourselves out of your comfort zone to achieve something special! Thanks also to all of our families who support at home too!
Exciting news from our Minecraft Club! Our amazing group of children received a surprise parcel from MiLittle Pad after coming 3rd in the half-termly competition! They were thrilled to win prizes and chocolate-what a fantastic achievement. Well done to everyone involved! We'd love to go even further next time! If you'd like to support us, please visit the MiLittle Pad Facebook page each week @milittlepad and give a like to the Feniscowles entry. Every like helps us climb the national leaderboard! Thank you for your support!
At Pit Stop we had a lovely Easter breakfast - filled with lots of fun, themed games and plenty of delicious Easter treats. It was a lovely way to celebrate the morning together, before we finish for the Easter holidays. Wishing you all a relaxing Easter break, and thank you so much for your continued support! The Pit Stop Team.
What a lovely afternoon bringing our oldest and youngest pupils together! This afternoon, our Year 6 children and teachers led a wonderful French experience for our Early Years pupils. They even created their own French books to share, which was such a special touch. We were incredibly proud of how mature, nurturing, and knowledgeable our oldest pupils were throughout. It was a fantastic afternoon filled with fun, learning, and smiles all around!
What a gorgeous morning we have had at our Early Years Easter stay & Learn - We had so much fun playing and learning alongside our grown ups. It was wonderful to see so much happiness , creativity and collaboration. A huge thank you for coming and spending time in our happy place. #EYFS #EarlyYears
Year 1 have had a lovely walk to the woods despite the grey, drizzly weather. Before we left, we talked about what signs of spring we might see. The children behaved safely and were very observant while we were out. We saw lots of buds on trees, some flowers - celandine, daffodils and daisies - we even saw ducks on the pond and geese flying overhead. Spring has sprung!
What a wonderful day we've had at Feniscowles celebrating World Book Day! Our school spent the day completely immersed in stories - from enjoying the book swap shop to creating a whole school story together. We finished the day with a fabulous whole school assembly celebrating our love of reading. The costumes were absolutely amazing! A huge thank you to all parents for the fantastic effort with costumes. What a brilliant day celebrating what we love the most - reading!
