Our School
Feniscowles Primary School is a thriving school with a strong reputation. It has been my privilege to be headteacher since September 2020.
All schools have their own distinctive culture and ethos, which makes each one unique. We believe that our distinctive culture is rooted in a shared understanding of 'The Feniscowles Way'.

What a wonderful day we've had at Feniscowles celebrating World Book Day! Our school spent the day completely immersed in stories - from enjoying the book swap shop to creating a whole school story together. We finished the day with a fabulous whole school assembly celebrating our love of reading. The costumes were absolutely amazing! A huge thank you to all parents for the fantastic effort with costumes. What a brilliant day celebrating what we love the most - reading!
We absolutely LOVED welcoming Elliot Chapman (proud Daddy to Ava) in for another careers assembly this morning all about drumming! Elliot played the drums for us and then told us about all the exciting opportunities drumming has led to: from meeting celebrities and drumming at festivals to getting to drum on the F1 track and recording tracks in studios. It was great to see "the arts" and music represented in the careers assemblies. Thanks so much to Elliot for helping to inspire the next generation and for coping with Mr Andrew's ad-hoc request to play the Phil Collin's drumming bit from the Cadbury advert!
What an unforgettable night at The Pitstop! Our Glow Party was an absolute hit, and the children had the best time from start to finish! Dressed in the amazing neon t-shirts they created earlier this week, they sang their hearts out and danced to the beat under the glowing lights. The energy, excitement and huge smiles said it all, such a fantastic atmosphere! A massive thank you to all of our wonderful parents for your continued support of The Pitstop. And of course, a huge shoutout to our incredible, hardworking staff who always go above and beyond to make Pitstop such a special, fun and caring place for our children. Here's to many more magical memories together! #TeamPitstop
A huge thank you to Alex Slater - an amazing dad to Aria and George, who came into school this morning to deliver a fantastic careers assembly. Children and teachers absolutely loved hearing about your journey, from working hard and listening to your teachers at school to building a successful career with Rightmove. We truly appreciate the time and effort you put into creating such a thoughtful and inspiring assembly for our learners. If anyone would like to offer their time to facilitate a careers assembly, please do get in touch with Miss Dootson - these opportunities are invaluable for our children.
Year 2 have had a wonderful day at the farm, and the sun even shone for us! We've enjoyed a tractor ride, donkey ride and being up close to lots of different animals. We also saw the cows being milked in the milking parlour, and how it is then bottled up or turned into ice cream, linking to our Geography topic 'Where does our food come from?'
What a gorgeous, wholesome day we have had at Chester Zoo. We could not be prouder of the children in Early Years, their behaviour has been exemplary with smiles from start to finish! Tired legs and happy hearts! #TeamEYFS
What a fabulous week for our little learners down in Early Years who got to showcase all their Ready, Steady, Write literacy learning in the form of a Class Assembly. We have loved focusing on "Juniper Joop" as our spring 1 core text and re-telling the story for our grown-ups. The Children's confidence and hard-work shone so brightly in their performance this week and we are unbelievably proud of them all. Our very own superheroes Team EYFS
